Mosquito 26 lb Fly Fishing Kick Raft *
We produced this small fishing raft back in 2014 for catchacraft. They build the frame, we build the tubes and the cargo basket. See this immage for the specs on the boat. the boat is made with our super air holding 32 oz boat fabric.
Safety first: Please consider not using waiders or a strip net when taking this boat through white water. There is a known safety risk when waiters turn a person upside down because the air bubble at the top floats a person feet up. Strip nets have been known to cause entanglment where a fisherman would not be able to get out of the oar seaty when upside down.
* The weight shown here is without oars. The cataract shaft oars shown here are the lightest and stongest. You could definitely hike this boat to your favorite mountain stream.

Here is what Darryl Osburn said about our new mosquito 13 lb kick raft. They tried it out on the Bitterrood River in Montana. Test drove the Mosquito on the Bitterroot River and was impressed with the
ease it kicked and turned with flippers, also how little water it took to
float it. It's not for everyone because my experience is that not many
people are that proficient with flippers on moving water, but for those that
are this is it!
For Fly fishermen both fill valves need to be in the back of craft to
eliminate line tangle. Some kind of cushion or seat (Cazy Creek Chair )
would be nice. Possibly mount the back inflatable cushion under seat for a
second chamber for those that are concerned about that.

The mosquito incorporates the best features of a small 1 person whitewater raft with the utility of a pack cat. This is the best small stream fly fishing boat one can imagine. It has a place to keep your feet when using flippers, a place to keep oars, the oar locks unplug incase you are boating on too tiny of a stream, and you need to use a paddle. There is no floor, so the boat can do bigger whitewater, and boaters can still stand straight up in the stream and fish. There is plenty of capacity for gear, and one can do a multi day self support trip with this boat. To boldly go where no boat has gone before.
