What features give JPW Self Bailing Whitewater Rafts the performance edge?
JPW Self Bailing Whitewater Rafts have some interesting custom features, and some interesting standard features too.
Custom sizing:
We can build a vast variety of self-bailing rafts ranging in size from 12 in diameter and 8 ½ feet long to 16.5 feet with 22 inch diameter tubes. We have yet to have a customer ask for 24 or larger diameters, but we would have no problem doing that. We have made numerous 36 inch diameter cat tubes.
Custom shape:
We generally build with 5 sections around the bow and stern, but we could build with more or less sections. We can build with sections that are asymmetrical, pointed on the bow and square on the stern, or with different kick on the bow and stern.
Features that put JPW boats in a class by themselves;
Recessed drop stitch floors give the best tracking effect, better hull speed and acceleration.
Here is how it works
Bailing capacity, and double bottom material on the main hull:
The Dragon fly tapered tube models are designed for fishermen, by decreasing the bow and stern tubes hull performance is maintained, and wind resistance is diminished.
Foot thwarts are a standard feature on the Fat Boy 10 foot self-bailing whitewater paddle raft. This concept allows a paddler to place his foot at multiple angles, and with any comfortable pressure or tension on the foot thwart. Paddlers are much more secure than they would be with foot cups.
The mosquito does not have a floor because it is designed to use flippers or oars when fishing on your favorite tout stream. Made with 32 oz. boat fabric, this boat weighs approximately 30 lbs.
